Zuccato City – Italian Restaurant – Mansion House

41 Bow Lane, London, EC4M 9DQ
Zuccato - CityZuccato City, opened in 2001, is situated amongst the historic terraced properties of Bow Lane. You enter the bar at ‘lane’ level, with large images of an era gone by, transporting you to 1950’s Milan. Walk through the bar to the rear and you will discover a secluded courtyard, a perfect traffic free haven for those long awaited al fresco moments. The décor throughout, based on the original Zuccato restaurant, draws inspiration from Fellini’s classic film, La Dolce Vita. Black and white dominates the stylish interior with lists of all things Italian – stylish people, things and places – written on the walls in black, with each letter ‘C’ in bronze. The ground floor bar serves breakfast and real Italian coffee, whilst the downstairs restaurant accommodates a modern Italian kitchen serving a menu of contemporary trattoria dishes and popular pizzas. Zuccato City’s antipasti list features classic dishes, as well as Bruschetta with Roasted Peppers, Red Onions and Spicy Prawns. Pasta and rice dishes include homemade Mezzelune Ravioli filled with Spinach and Ricotta in a Sauce of Fresh Tomatoes and Vegetables, whilst the fish includes Pan-fried Sea Bass with a Balsamic Reduction and Potato Tartlet, and fresh squid in a delicate Tempura batter.
