TrishnaTrishna London in Marylebone is the sister restaurant of Trishna in Mumbai and delivers an innovative twist on the coastal cuisine of south-west India. Trishna’s decor combines marble, exposed brickwork, oak and glass to create an elegant but unpretentious dining room, giving rise to a casual, informal and sociable dining atmosphere with great buzz and energy. The menu at Trishna is comprehensive and alluring, encompassing both the traditional as well as the latest evolution in coastal Indian cuisine. There is an emphasis on simple presentation and flavour through a selection of carefully sourced seasonal fish, crustacea, meat, poultry and seasonal vegetables prepared over a charcoal sigri, tandoori clay oven and iron tawa as well as a variety of creative home made desserts. Trishna serves dishes that are designed for sharing and are brought to the table steadily throughout the meal. Menu highlights include Chargrilled wild tiger prawn with peanut, coriander; Aylesbury duch seekh kebab with shallots, green chilli and pineapple chutney; and Tandoori guinea fowl with fennel seed, crushed red chilli and masoor lentils. An extensive list of fine wines and specialist beers is available and each dish from the menu is matched with a wine recommendation.
