Sitaaray (meaning ‘stars’ in Hindi) is a celebration of Bollywood in all its technicolour glory, nestled in the heart of theatrical Covent Garden. More glamorous than a film set, Sitaaray’s interiors are closely intertwined with cinematic inspiration redefining the stereotype face of both Indian Cinema and Indian Cuisine, bringing in a new and fun contemporary sensibility. Individual booths dedicated to different genres and moods give diners an upclose look at the much loved faces of heroes and heroines, villains and vamps, legendary romantic couples, icons and comedians through the ages. LCD screens installed in each booth show memorable scenes and clips from popular cinema. Set against a cinematic backdrop, the real star of Sitaaray is the food. Lunchtime platters include street food like papri chaat, platters of seafood (Lasooni Prawns and Ajwaini Monk fish), lamb (Chicken Lamb Makhmali Tukre and adraki booti) and a large vegetarian selection. Sitaaray’s Great Indian Grill features all you can eat authentic Indian Kababs brought hot off the Tandoor to your table along with popaddams and chutneys, lentils, curries and accompaniments.
