Saharaween – Moroccan Restaurant – Leicester Square

SaharaweenAbout Saharaween
Saharaween is a delightful Moroccan restaurant just moments away from Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square offering a cosy Moroccan restaurant and ground floor tea room. Diners at Saharaween enter a world where you expose your senses to sumptuous food, exotic entertainment courtesy of belly dancers and world famous Moroccan hospitality. The relaxed atmosphere of Saharaween is highlighted by a decor of floor cushions, low tables and seating, and colourful rugs just as you would find in a typical Sahara home. Saharaween’s popular North African food is courtesy of a chef who specialises in tagines, particularly the mhamar – an earthy-looking dish of lamb marinated in maghribine spices, served with glazed apple plums and almond flakes in a pottery bowl, with which the meal shares its name. Other popular dishes on Saharaween’s menu include a range of meze, Couscous Royal (with a mixed vegetable sauce, spicy sausages, chicken & lamb); Tagine Bahri (a selection of marinated seafood with North African spices served in Saharaween sauce); and Pastilla (savoury chicken baked in a thin pastry with almond & cinnamon).
