Popular PJ’s Bar & Grill on Chelsea’s Fulham Road is a north American grill and restaurant straight out of Boston, and just a short walk from South Kensington tube. A charming mahogany interior, reflected in the mirrors scattered around the yellow walls, adds to the relaxing buzz of the place. Designed with a classic ‘polo joe’ look (a tribute to owner Brian Stein’s favourite sport), the room pays homage to the great sport with its many displays of polo artefacts and imagery. The unique centre-piece of PJ’s Bar & Grill’s double height space is a beautiful, suspended wooden aeroplane propeller from one of the original Vickers-Vimy bombers circa 1911. The menu at PJ’s Bar & Grill features grills and salads and popular dishes include Wild duck & spring vegetable terrine with verjuice and baby leaves; Ginger poached salmon, crushed new potatoes, cress & citrus dressing; Grilled lamb, minted potatoes, buttered kale, rosemary & anchovy sauce; and Linguine of scallops crab & tiger prawns.
