About Pepenero
Pepenero is an Italian restaurant situated in East London’s dynamic Royal Docklands, taking pride in its innovative and authentic Italian cooking using only fresh ingredients, which are where possible locally sourced to offer classic Italian dishes with the addition of a number of more modern house specialities. All of the pizzas on the menu are based on the traditional Neapolitan recipe, but the team at Pepenero have chosen to go one step further by offering a wider range of toppings to choose from. In true Italian style, Pepenero encourages diners to enjoy each meal at their own pace. Pepenero’s menu highlights include Carpaccio Di Filetto – Thinly sliced fillet beef, rocket, parmesan flakes marinated with olive oil and lemon juice; Penne Salmone e Spinaci – With smoked salmon, spinach, Tomato, cream and Brandy Sauce; Fegato Veneziana – Stripped calves liver with onion demi glass white wine sauce; and the Pizza Pepenero – Tomato sauce, Mozzarella, Wild Mushroom, Parma Ham and Cherry Tomato. The stylish interior features walnut floors, subdued lighting and red furnishings, alongside impressive floor-to-ceiling windows, to create a look and feel that is both contemporary and comfortable.
