Chez Gérard - Belvedere RoadStep into Chez Gérard on the South Bank for a touch of French style amidst the sights of central London. The reputation of its steak-frites is unassailable, but this chic brasserie also offers great-value set menus for diners taking a break in its panelled booths from riverside attractions such as the London Eye and opposite neighbour the Royal Festival Hall. The menu at Chez Gérard Belvedere Road features a wide range of traditional French cooking from starters of Escargots and Moules marinières, and Soupe à l’oignon, followed by mains including Confit de canard (Duck leg confi t with potatoes sautéed with onion and lardons), Boeuf bourguignon (Braised succulent beef in Syrah red wine with button onions, button mushrooms, smoked lardons and chantenay carrots, served with buttery mashed potato), and Chateaubriand for two served with Béarnaise sauce and unlimited pommes frites. Finish with your choice from the delicious dessert menu including Tarte tatin, Crème brûlée, and the Petit pot au chocolat.
