Apium Noodle Bar is an eatery in EC1 that provides City workers with good value, healthy Oriental food. Apium opened in July 2003 and is the only restaurant in Smithfields EC1 that provides ethnic cooking in a relaxed and informal seated environment. Apium Noodle Bar’s menu of almost 60 dishes include Ramen noodles in soup and E-Fu (both yellow noodles made from egg and flour), fried Vermicelli, stir-fried Udon (thick Japanese noodle from salt, water and wheat flour) and Ho Fun (strips of noodle made from rice), plus a huge variety of rice dishes.

Champor-Champor' is a Malay term that loosely translates as 'mix and match'. At this well known London Bridge eatery the food and its presentation reflects a mix of Asian cuisines grafted onto distinctly Malay roots, while the décor, music, artworks, artefacts and table settings are a true champor-champor compilation. Cosy, yet chic, with a hint of a bohemian flavour, Champor-champor is an urban version of the restaurant-bar first created by the two owners in Langkawi, Malaysia in 1994. Tribal artefacts and Buddha statues rub shoulders with cutting edge modern art and esoteric flower arrangements. Every table is different; every dish is presented in its own way on exotic tableware. In the evenings a warm glow is cast over the small but beautiful restaurant by dozens of candles: it is a unique dining experience. Delicious modern Malay-Asian food, influenced by the flavours of East, Southeast and South Asia, with a hint of the Western world, is served from set menus.
