Amaya Restaurant in Knightsbridge is an award winning Indian restaurant focused uniquely on sophisticated Indian grills, seasoned with subtle complex marinades using time honoured Indian grilling methods and prepared in full view to diners in Amaya’s open kitchen. The seriously stylish dining room features a decor of rosewood, vibrant red panels, jewel-painted tiles, Agra red sandstone, and smart Italian furnishings. Amaya’s food is meant for sharing and is prepared by the three core Indian grilling methods: Tandoor (clay oven), Sigri (charcoal grill); and Tawa, (thick iron griddle). The raw ingredients cover the panoply of seafood, poultry, lamb and game. These include lobster in the shell, king scallops, large prawns, oysters, grouper, venison, quail, lamb, duck and many others – each infused with a different marinade. Popular dishes include lamb chops, lobster, tandoori chicken, fish kebabs, and sweet potato, while curries and biryanis are also on offer.
