Simpson’s Tavern – British Restaurant – Bank, London
Simpson's Tavern is a traditional English eatery, which has stood on its City foundations since 1757, offering two dining areas and two bars. The welcoming interior is full of Victorian charm, with stall seating and brass hat rails. The Grill Room is an old-fashioned chophouse with seating arranged in stalls - so expect to share a table! The restaurant is laid out in a similar fashion and is located on the first floor. Both floors are untainted by modern decoration and host an open grill where you can watch the chefs prepare your lunch. The Gentleman's Bar is an antique original oak bar on the ground floor, serving traditional ales and beers including the best Bass in the City, whilst the Wine Bar is the perfect place to savour a sandwich, bar snack or just relax with a drink.
